The RNLI Rhyl Lifeboat have made an announcement on their social media about the unfortunate decision they have had to make in light of the ongoing COVID-19 outbreak.

The announcement came just after 7pm on Monday 11th May stating that due to the ongoing situation of the Covid-19 outbreak they have had to take the unfortunate decision to cancel all their fundraising and public family events this summer. This is in the interest of public safety, and that of lifeboat volunteers.

The following events are cancelled:
The RNLI Dyserth Duck Race
The Rhyl RNLI Raft Race
The 53 Degrees North Music Festival
The Rhyl RNLI Open Day.

The events above represent the stations main fundraising events during the year, as a charity the RNLI rely on the public’s kind donations to continue their lifesaving work along the coast.
