Have you see a man in bizarre clothes and a pushchair with a monkey in it, if not where have you been for the past 10 years. Our very own Gary Carr got the opportunity to meet The Monkey Man and His Wife on Tuesday this week when the duo headed to entertain residents of a local care home.
The online celebrity who has been living in Llandudno for the past 10 years.
Since “adopting” the monkey from a charity shop nearly 14 years ago, Sam has toured the country with his cuddly toy, dancing and singing everywhere.
He said: “I don’t do this for money, I just want to entertain people and keep myself busy.”
The Kings Heath Monkey Man has got almost 10,000 followers on Facebook and has many videos of him and his monkey and now wife on YouTube.
The 70-year-old engineer retired due to health issues when he was 45 and his monkey act has given him something to do.
“It keeps me busy and I’m just entertaining people. I love to see the smiles on their faces – it’s just great.”
