Beach walkers may have noticed something highly unusual on Rhyl beach today as the heavy wind and rain eased.

Hundreds of apples have been washed up along the shore line of Rhyl amongst driftwood and over debris.  It is not sure where the fruit has mysteriously appear from, but they arrived after the North Wales coasts took a battering from strong winds and rain.

Ex hurricane Zeta from the Atlantic Oceans brought the bad weather over the weekend resulting in some localised flooding and flood warnings.

One Sound Radio listener and onlooker suggested it might have been a game of “bobbing apples” over halloween that had gone wrong or maybe a boat had lost its cargo in the Irish Sea.

Do you know why there is 100s of apples on Rhyl beach ?
