Kinmel Bay, Rhyl and Prestatyn could be hit economically due to Covid-19 according to a nationwide survey.
What is more concerning is that Kinmel Bay is in the top 5 of this survey conducted by The Centre for Towns and The University of Southampton. Prestatyn and Rhyl are also in the top 20 coming in at 19th and 16th. The report also said that Wales could also be the most affected region once the pandemic is over along with the East Coast of England and Essex.
Local AM for Clwyd West Darren Millar has asked the Welsh Assembly for support to help the local economy across the North Wales coast with Kinmel Bay being in his constituency. He also asked that the residents are assured and that the effects of the pandemic are not deep and lasting but will also with the support it will bounce back, and that the coastal towns get the help it needs to recover.
