North Wales Freemasons, through the Covid-19 Response Group, have donated £4,000 to fund the FREE delivery of Sunday Lunch to people living in Bangor and Anglesey.
Covid-19 Response Group, which was formed by the United Grand Lodge emergency structure in response to Covid-19. Its purpose is to work together to deliver life-
changing initiatives to those in need.
From the initial 10th May delivery to date, over 2,200 FREE meals have been delivered through this initiative to the community in Bangor & Anglesey courtesy of Annest & Medi Wynne Jones at Bangor Masonic Hall. Member of Royal Leek Lodge, Martin Wynne Jones and a team of volunteers helped to deliver the free lunches to the local community.
Pete Williams from Telford said “Many thanks to North Wales Freemasons for firstly thinking about and including my 95-year-old grandmother, Megan, in this very generous endeavour and secondly for actually delivering the Sunday lunch to her door. She was truly grateful.”
This initiative has been funded by a £4,000 donation from North Wales Freemasons Charity, through the Covid-19 Response Group, together with a further £1,000 from A&M Catering.
This wonderful community project was started by Martin Wynne Jones and has grown from 198 meals on 10th May to last Sunday’s record high of 700 FREE meals and is scheduled to continue delivering over 700 meals every Sunday for the next 8 weeks.
