Across England and Wales groups of Parents took to the streets to demand action for a crisis in special needs funding.

In Rhyl it was identified how funding was not keeping pace with their children’s needs and how this was affecting both their children and their family life.

Families were joined by Chris Ruane MP, who added his support to their action and identified how funds had reduced to children with special needs over the years.

Andrea Faulkner spoke to the families, many of whom attend the Popin Centre in Prestatyn, and listened to how the lack of funding was affecting them.

While the support given to their children is a statutory right the parents felt they were often given platitudes by people who were expected to put the provision in place.
