Rhyl store bags a Welsh Independent Retail Award at Cardiff ceremony

Creative Oceanic are delighted to announce the winners of the Welsh Independent Retail Awards 2019.

The ceremony, which welcomed over 200 guests at The Exchange Hotel in Cardiff, on Tuesday, April 30 in an attempt to reward the Welsh independent retailers for serving and enhancing our communities.

The awards acknowledged the contributions of the country’s independent retails to the overall economy as well as the wide range of diversity that is present in this sector. They also recognised individuals that own smaller chains, whose work is often overshadowed in the bigger landscape.

The Welsh Independent Retail Awards 2019 rewarded talented professionals who have made it their mission to supply the best of everyday products to their customers and meet their needs. The winners are a true reflection of the excellence and high standard that feature in the country’s independent retail industry.

The competition was fierce but Personalize A Memory from Rhyl was crowned winner in the Gift Shop category and took the trophy home. The winners said:

“The whole experience was absolutely incredible, to be able to attend an event like this was our absolute dream. We went there proud knowing we are all winners to get into the top 10. As each category was called the tense just increased. We were in the second part of the event and we had to eat a 3 course meal before our category was announced. When Polly said our name we was in so much shock we couldn’t talk. We was grateful to every single one of customers who have supported us and nominated us and we can’t thank you all enough. We will carry on providing an outstanding service to you and will be some exciting changes as we progress.”

A spokesperson for the Welsh Independent Retail Awards 2019, said: “These awards are the leading celebration of the independent retailers that work tirelessly to serve the Welsh communities. The event provided a platform to showcase the ongoing commitment of those who treat every customer as a friend, stand as an important part of local communities, where their great service and value, result in the return of loyal locals to their retails.
