Sound Radio LTD are delighted to announce they have been awarded the sum of £3,001.36p from the Gwynt Y Môr Community Fund COVID-19 Response Grant through Conwy Voluntary Service Council (CVSC).
The grant will help Sound Radio provide important information at this critical time to the local community through broadcasting as well as helping to fulfil our key commitments to OFCOM and ensure that our volunteers and output can still run effectively on FM radio very soon. This will also benefit over 75,000 individual residents in the community, including local businesses and statutory groups.
Due to a number of our volunteers self-isolating and reducing our output the grant will also fund equipment that can be used by volunteers to ensure they don’t have to leave their homes and risk contamination during lockdown.
After lockdown the funded equipment will continue to be used in and around the community for training purposes, radio workshops and outside broadcasts.
Sound Radio would like to thank Gwynt y Môr Offshore Wind Farm Ltd and the CVSC funding panel for their quick response to our application during this difficult time.
