Storm Diana set to bring 70mph winds to North Wales as Met Office issues a weather warning

Storm Diana is set to bring 70mph winds to the Welsh coast as Met Office issues a yellow weather warning.

The winds which could last for as long as 2 days are set to batter the coast line on Wales bringing some delays to public transport as many trains will be running at reduced speeds meaning journey times could take longer, Some trains will not stop at Colwyn Bay, Prestatyn and Flint so passengers are advised to check their journeys.

Some disruptive wind by Thursday could bring short term loss of power and other services is possible and risk of injuries and danger to life from flying debris are possible.

The high winds are set to ease by Thursday afternoon at around 2pm when the yellow weather warning is set to be dropped.
