The Range finally arrived in Rhyl on Friday 30th March, the opening of the eagerly anticipated home and garden department store at Rhyl’s new Marina Quay shopping complex.
The Range is now the 3rd store to open at the the Marina Quay, along with Farmfoods and Pound World. The store retails in home, garden, and leisure essentials, anything from wall mirrors to toilet seats. It is one of 148 stores in the United Kingdom & Ireland. The store has also created 80 new jobs in Rhyl.
Sound Radio Wales came live from the The Range which was opened by the Mayor of Rhyl, Councillor Allan James.
The first person to walk through the door received a £250 voucher to spend int he store and 50 other customers received a Regatta fleece. Hundreds of people turned up during the morning to see what The Range had on offer an the shoppers continued throughout the day with he store set to close at 8pm.
Sound Radio Wales spoke to The Range Rhyl, store manager Chris Halliwell live on the Breakfast Show with Big Al about the opening, listen below to what he had to say.
