Tango a Spanish train manufacturer has announced its has shortlisted locations for its UK factory with 4 provisional places.
A report from Railmagazine.com says that Chesterfield, St Helens and Leeds have been shortlisted along with Mosytn in North Wales, the company could bring up to 1,000 jobs to the area if the deal goes through with a final decision expected next months.
The company has been shortlisted to build the 54 classic compatible trains for High Speed 2 (HS2) in a £2.75bn deal, while it is also interested in the East Midlands and West Coast Partnership deals.
