Sculptures unveiled at Rhyl’s Marine Lake

Two new wood sculptures have been unveiled at Rhyl’s Marine Lake.

Rhyl sculptor Ian Murray was commissioned by the Marine Lake Users Forum to create a bench featuring wildlife and was also commissioned by the Rhyl Steam Preservation Trust to create a sculpture of a train and carriage.

The Marine Lake Users Forum applied and successfully received a grant of up to £2,500 from Danish power company Ørsted, through their Burbo Bank Extension Community Fund, to fund the sculpture.

The Rhyl Steam Preservation Trust donated their sculpture of a train and carriage which has been installed next to the bench and they can be found along the west side of the lake.

The Marine Lake Users Forum consists of representatives from all user groups and the lakeis owned and managed by Denbighshire County Council.
