towyn's portaloo problem
Lots of upset and exhausted residents, business owners and holiday makers have spoken abut the disgusting state of the “temporary” portaloo’s that have been replacing the public toilets on Sandbank Road.
Right next to the public car park that most people who are travelling to the area use are two big blue portaloo’s. they are emptied regularly unfortunately its not enough for the sheer demand of public toilets.
Taking to Towyn Talk, Towyns local Facebook group many people are expressing the anger with the state of the loos. Its also not just the portaloo itself it is the whole area that is in need of attention. Joanna who runs a local business has never had a problem as bad as the 2023 season with the toilets, its embarrassing for the area of Sandbank Road. The first place people see going into the heart of Towyn.
Wayne a local resident has said how the smell from the toilets has made his family unable to use his garden and has regularly had to stop people using his drive instead of the “full” portaloo. Another resident said “Let me manage them i will charge 30p and keep them clean”.
