Have your say at public exhibition on Rhyl flood defences

Denbighshire County Council is inviting members of the local community to attend a public exhibition for the Central Rhyl Coastal Defences scheme.

The Council is conducting a 28-day pre-application consultation for the Central Rhyl Coastal Defences Scheme between 12 January and 9 February 2022.

The public exhibition is being held between 2pm and 7pm on Tuesday, 25 January and Wednesday, 26 January 2022 at Rhyl Town Hall, 22 Wellington Road, Rhyl, Denbighshire, LL18 1HZ.

Members of the public are encouraged to attend and provide their views on the plans. The project team will be available to discuss queries and provide more information about the scheme.

Due to Covid-19 restrictions, attendance at the public exhibition is by appointment within agreed timeslots.

Following the pre-application consultation the Council will respond to the consultation feedback and submit applications for planning consent and if approved, construction would start in autumn/winter 2022 and is expected to take two and a half years.
