A big weekend of music is coming to the North Wales this summer with the Little Dargon Festival in aid of Glan Clwyd Hospitals Children’s Units and will be headlined by to chart topping acts over two days.

This year is the 70th anniversary of the National Health Service and the 25th anniversary of the Children’s Wards ‘Paddington and Rupert’ at Glan Clwyd Hospital, currently known as the Children’s Unit. We are celebrating this milestone by holding a two-day ‘NOT FOR PROFIT’ music festival, the ‘Little Dragon Festival’, which will take place at the Y Morfa Venue and Stadium, Conwy, on the 21st and 22nd July 2018 and is the brain child of full time Awyr Las/Blue Sky Fundraiser David Jones and Staff Nurse Dyfan Roberts, who both work at Glan Clwyd.

The festival will be headlined by chart topping band ‘Scouting for Girls’ on the Saturday and Wales’s very own ‘Goldie Lookin Chain’ on Sunday, with a firework finale. The weekend will see a total of 35 bands, littered with local English and Welsh Language talent, with Bryn Fon appearing on the Saturday evening, to hopefully, a capacity crowd of around 6000 people.

All proceeds from the music festival in July will go to Glan Clwyd Hospital Children’s Services, which include the Children’s Unit, Children’s Outpatients and Emergency Department Children’s Provision.

Tickets for the festival start from an amazing £15 and can be purchased online from The Little Dragon Music Festival page on the Eventbrite website, with further ticket outlets to be announced soon.
