As Wales slowly comes out of lockdown Sound Radio is continuing to broadcast as best as possible through these difficult restrictions. Luckily technology has made it possible for most of our presenter to do their show from the comfort of their own houses. These restrictions have not stopped us bringing you new shows and presenters to the radio station.
Friday nights are now full on dance music from local DJs, every Friday evening from 6pm, 4 local DJs will rotate on a weekly basis to bring you the latest music from the UK dance scene. We have also been bringing you 4 hours of LIVE Soul, Northern Soul & Motown with Gary Carr’s Soul in the Sun (even when it rains) and there are more live “Soul in the Sun” events to come on Sound Radio.
Since lockdown our listenership has rose by 58% since the same time last year help us reach 1000s of more listeners with vital COVID-19 information and programming. You can read more here.
Sound Radio is growing by the week and after very soon we hope to bring you full FM coverage across North East Wales and the Vale of Clwyd, we were officially granted the licence in December 2019, although the COVID-19 outbreak has delayed our progress we hope to be broadcasting on FM by the end of 2020.
