Raising Money For The RNLI – The Wobbly Walkabout

Due to Storms on Saturday 8th June Matt will now undertake the walk on Sunday 9th June.

He will start from Rhyl Lifeboat station at 8am.

Matt Smith is passionate about the service offered by the lifeboat services.

Last year he was diagnosed with a rare brain tumour (acoustic neuroma) which is destroying the nerve to his right ear. This not only affects his hearing but also makes him very wobbly when he walks.

Although Matt is uncertain how the tumour will develop, he wants to do his bit for the lifeboats.  With his friend and supporter, Ted Smiff, Matt aims to complete a walk from Rhyl to Conwy, a distance of 25 miles.

Listen to Matt in his own words and help him in his efforts to raise money for the new lifeboat which is coming to Rhyl.
